We Need Your Help In Sending Our Youth To Washington, DC.
Donate Today And See Our Youth Impact Tomorrow.
The YRITWC Watershed Edventure is preparing its first cohort of youth as they travel to Washington, D.C. to present at the 2012 National Training Conference on the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) and Environmental Conditions in Communities on Capitol Hill at the Hyatt Regency April 09-14, 2012.

Presentation Summary: Rural students are paired with other students from various communities along the Yukon River Watershed, throughout Alaska and around the nation. With guidance from their communities and support from elders, mentors, agencies, schools and universities, students develop sustainable action plans that address environmental, social, and cultural toxins within their communities through the use of Indigenous knowledge, technology, and modern science.

The YRITWC would like to thank the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) for their generous support in providing four full travel scholarships that will get our youth to Washington D.C.

With generous supporters like you, the Watershed Edventure and future youth education programs sponsored by the Yukon River Inter-Tribal Watershed Council will gain a more fundamental understanding of inherent environmental, social, and cultural issues. Your financial support provides Watershed Edventure youth a chance to become engaged in issues that are recognized as relevant to their communities, our state, and the nation. It is our hope that you will join us and find the means to support this innovative Watershed Edventure by sharing your time and/or resources.
